Dancers from Japan and Europe now come to Jamaica to learn, compete and be judged, and Jamaican dancers teach and tour abroad. It is a genuine two-way traffic rather than an export, and it has produced international competition winners from outside the Caribbean — the clearest sign that dancehall movement has become a discipline with its own global circuit.
