Do-not-seed rumour policy

Well supported

The rule that keeps this archive usable: nothing enters it because it is widely repeated. Unattributed claims, forum consensus and things everybody knows are exactly the material that hardens into fact once written down somewhere that looks authoritative. A claim without a source becomes a source lead for an editor to chase, not an entry.

Rumours are not seed data

Unattributed allegations, social-media claims and active unresolved matters should remain out of seed files unless a vetted court/regulator/major-press source supports a narrow public-record entry.
