Toronto reggae scene

Probable

The reggae community that developed in Toronto from the 1970s among Jamaican and Caribbean immigrants, producing Juno Award winning bands and artists including Messenjah, the Sattalites, Leroy Sibbles after his 1973 move, Carlene Davis and Truths & Rights, and supported by the Caribana carnival and a run of local labels. It is Canada's principal reggae hub.
