Bruk Up

Well supported

A dancehall style built on broken, jointed movement — the body worked as if it were coming apart at the elbows and knees. It grew out of the Kingston dancehall and travelled, becoming the root of what New York dancers developed into flexing, and it is one of the clearest cases of a Jamaican dance seeding a form abroad.
