International Reggae Day

Well supported

The 1st of July, observed since 1994 as a global celebration of reggae, founded in Kingston by Andrea Davis. It works as a media campaign more than a festival — broadcasts, playlists and events pegged to one date — and predates the state's own Reggae Month by more than a decade.
