Reggae Month

Well supported

February, declared Reggae Month by the Jamaican government in 2008 and built around the birthdays of Bob Marley and Dennis Brown. It gathers concerts, symposia, awards and school programmes into one calendar, and is the main occasion on which the state treats the music as national heritage rather than as an export.
