Rootz Underground

Well supported

Kingston band that plays roots reggae with classic-rock guitars, fronted by Stephen Newland with guitarists Colin Young and Jeffrey Moss-Solomon among the founders. Formed around the turn of the 2000s, they went from the alternative bar circuit to the Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival, released the debut album Movement (2008), and built a touring life across Europe and the Americas.
