On-U Sound
Well supported
London dub and experimental-reggae label built by producer Adrian Sherwood out of his earlier Carib Gems and Hit Run imprints, formally taking the On-U Sound name around 1980; home to African Head Charge, Dub Syndicate, Tackhead and New Age Steppers, it carried the mixing-desk aesthetic of Jamaican dub into British post-punk.
