Bandleader of the Dragonaires from the 1950s and one of the music's great businessmen: he bought WIRL and rebuilt it as Dynamic Sounds in 1968, led the ska delegation to the 1964 New York World's Fair, and made the Dragonaires the Caribbean's hardest-working carnival band. Uptown where the music was downtown, and indispensable anyway. He died in 2008.
