Carrie "Quizz" Sigurdson founded Whaddat.com in 2000 and ran it through the years when it was the main published record of the Jamaican party circuit. The work was photographic and editorial at once: being at the dance every week, deciding what the night looked like, and putting it where people could find it. That made her one of the first people to treat Jamaican nightlife as something to document continuously rather than to remember.
