Ken Boothe

Well supported

Ken Boothe began recording at Studio One in 1966 and became one of Jamaica's leading vocalists through ska, rocksteady and reggae. His 1974 cover of David Gates's "Everything I Own," produced by Lloyd Charmers and recorded at Federal Records, reached number one on the UK Singles Chart - a rare Jamaican vocal record to top the British chart outright rather than just cross over.
