Lloyd Coxsone (born Lloyd Blackford, c.1945, Morant Bay) is a Jamaican-born, UK-based sound-system operator and record producer who took his name in tribute to Clement 'Coxsone' Dodd. Resident in Britain since 1962, he ran the Coxsone/Sir Coxsone Outernational sound and, as a producer, helped launch UK lovers rock with Louisa Mark's 'Caught You in a Lie', later founding the Safari, Tribesman and Outernational labels.
