Jazz guitarist and the Jamaican alternative scene's quiet architect: leader of Seretse and the True Democrats, son of the writer Jean Small, and keeper of The Woodshed at 94 Old Hope Road -- the weekly stage and rehearsal room where Kingston's young bands learned to play out. Born 27 September 1967; CEO of Griot Music Limited; National Director of Global Battle of the Bands Jamaica since he organised its first Jamaican round in 2005, guiding Dubtonic Kru to the 2012 world final in Malaysia and Jamaica's champions to the Bucharest finals that June.
A 2012 Caribbean Hall of Fame inductee who returned to performing in February 2026 -- his first stage appearance in two decades, the interim spent building the Avant Academy of Music.
