Sherkhan (Romain Chiffre)

Well supported

French producer, musician and film-maker, born Romain Chiffre and resident in Kingston since 2003, working under the name Sherkhan. He produces for the French-Jamaican label Tiger Records and directs music videos and documentaries through Raatid and Magic Film -- including the video for Luciano's "True To The Music." He made the album "Ghetto Princess" with the Jamaican singer Diana Rutherford, to whom he is married.

He is the inverse of most of the French route: not a Frenchman hosting Jamaican artists in France, but one who moved to Kingston and stayed.
