Special Ed (Edward Archer)

Well supported

Edward Archer, born in Brooklyn on 16 May 1972 and recording as Special Ed, is the son of Jamaican immigrants — an Afro-Jamaican father and an Indo-Jamaican mother — and has said his heritage runs through his work. In the mid-1990s he recorded "Just a Killa" with the dancehall deejay Bounty Killer, one of several direct meeting points between his generation of Jamaican-descended rappers and Jamaica's own dancehall artists.
