British music journalist and broadcaster who covered reggae and punk for NME, Sounds and Melody Maker from the 1970s, briefly worked in press for Bob Marley at Island Records, and later wrote "The Book of Exodus" on Marley's Exodus album; she now teaches punk and reggae at NYU.
