The singer of "Armagideon Time" — cut at Studio One on the Real Rock rhythm in 1979 and covered by the Clash within a year, one of the clearest cases of a Jamaican record crossing straight into punk's bloodstream. He recorded from the late 1960s onward in both Jamaica and Canada, but that one record secured the catalogue's place.
