Irie Jam Radio

Founded by Bobby Clarke in the early 1990s and based in Queens, Irie Jam Radio was built to fill the gap left when Inner City Broadcasting stopped Caribbean programming on WLIB-AM. It became the fixture of Caribbean New York radio through brokered hours on WVIP 93.5 FM — reggae, dancehall, soca and Caribbean talk, including immigration, politics and social justice — and marked its thirtieth anniversary in 2023, the same year WVIP's Caribbean programming ended.
