Launched in 2004 on 88.1 FM covering western Jamaica and going islandwide in 2010, billed as "the station that plays strong songs" — Caribbean music, reggae and talk. It took over Hot 102 in 2017. Barry G joined Mello FM in 2010, returning to work three years after the stroke that took him off air.
