WLIB (New York)
Probable
New York AM station owned by the African-American investment group led by Percy Sutton through Inner City Broadcasting, and for years one of the few licensed US outlets carrying dancehall and soca alongside news and sport. When Inner City stopped programming Caribbean news and entertainment on WLIB it left a hole that Bobby Clarke's Irie Jam Radio was founded to fill; in 2006 the station changed format to gospel, ending its run as a Caribbean voice on the New York dial.
