WVIP 93.5 FM (New Rochelle)

For close to forty years WVIP was the Caribbean station of the New York area, carrying Jamaican and Caribbean programming — Irie Jam Radio among it — through brokered airtime. It went silent on that programming at midnight on 31 August 2023, when the station was sold for US$8.15 million to Hope Media Group following the death of its owner William O'Shaughnessy.

Bobby Clarke, who had brokered time there for more than thirty years, publicly disputed how the sale was handled and the figure his own company had been quoted; the reported numbers do not reconcile and are left as reported rather than resolved here. Its Caribbean audience was picked up by CaribStar Radio.
