What the records do not tell you
A discography tells you what was pressed. It does not tell you who won. In Jamaican music a reputation was made in a room, on a night, in front of a crowd that answered back immediately — and the only scoreboard was how loud that answer was. This path follows the live side of the music: the stage show, the clash, and the one-off record cut to win a single night.
