Gaza vs Gully: musical rivalry or public-safety flashpoint?

One side

Competitive dancehall theatre

The other

Documented public-safety flashpoint

What was argued

A strictly neutral account, on the public record only: the 2006-2010 Kartel-Mavado 'Gaza vs Gully' rivalry was read by some as ordinary competitive dancehall theatre, and by others as a rivalry whose fan tensions reached communities and schools, prompting a government-convened 2009 meeting at Jamaica House and a national safety conversation; both artists afterward stated there was no personal animosity between them. No allegation is made here about any person.
