The MOBO ('Music of Black Origin') Awards, founded in the United Kingdom by Kanya King in 1996, which has honoured reggae and Caribbean music through a Best Reggae Act category; in 2004 its organisers withdrew two dancehall nominations amid the Stop Murder Music campaign, a widely reported episode in the controversy.
