The parish wrapped around Kingston, from the harbour plain up into the Blue Mountains, and administered jointly with it as the Kingston and St Andrew Corporation. Much of what is called Kingston in music history is in fact St Andrew: Papine, Grants Pen, Cross Roads and the uptown studios all sit inside it.
