Dubplate-special economy

A dubplate special is a one-off acetate or lacquer recording, custom-voiced for a specific sound system - typically a singer or deejay re-recording a hit with lyrics naming and praising that sound - used exclusively in clash competition to prove a system's connections and exclusivity. A dubplate that fails to name its owning sound risks disqualification in a clash.
