OCCII

Probable

A former squat on the Amstelveenseweg in Amsterdam Oud-Zuid, legalised and run as a volunteer DIY venue, and one of the rooms where the city's early sound system culture found space. The Amsterdam squat movement is the other half of the story the Surinamese community started: it supplied the halls, the equipment tolerance and the audience for dub sessions that no commercial venue would book.
